The Costa Norte Ingleses Hotel is located on the beach at Praia dos Ingleses. The hotel is 35 km (22 miles) from the center of Florianópolis and 39 km (24 miles) from the airport.

By Car

  1. You will arrive on the island via the Pedro Ivo Campos bridge. At the end of the bridge keep right and follow the road as it loops back round under both bridges (Pedro Ivo Campos and Colombo Salles) and turn left at the first traffic lights soon after passing under the second bridge. This is the Av. Beira Mar Norte bayside highway, which will take you beneath the Hercílio Luz suspension bridge, currently under renovation. There are speed cameras mounted on some of the traffic lights along this road.
  2. You will follow this road for about 5 km (3 miles), passing the state Governor’s house and the Federal Police regional headquarters, both on the right. As you pass Angeloni supermarket, also on the right, look for signs for NORTE (the North) which will guide you into one of the two right-hand lanes and over the Wilson Kleinubing flyover into the SC-401 highway. This divides in two soon after the flyover, keep left and follow the road for NORTE, which is still the SC-401.
  3. After about 11 km (7 miles) you will arrive at an unmanned toll gate, but this is no longer active and you will not have to stop or pay. About 2 km (1.2 miles) after this you will pass a turning for Jurerê Internacional, carry straight on North, following the signs for CANASVIEIRAS.
  4. Around 5 km (3 miles) later is the turning for PRAIA DOS INGLESES. You will recognize this point by a large glass structure on the right (Ilha Shopping). You should take the exit ramp to the right, around the glass building, following the sign for INGLESES. If you reach the beach at Canasvieras you have missed this turning, but don’t worry, you’ve only passed it by 2 km (1½ miles).
  5. From here, it’s approximately 8 km to the resort of Praia dos Ingleses. You will come down a fairly steep hill onto the main street of Ingleses, which has a central reservation and very tall streetlights. After about 2 km (1½ miles) you will reach a mini roundabout with Banco do Brasil on the right and a petrol station on the left. Go straight on at the roundabout, but take the first left immediately afterwards, into the RUA DAS GAIVOTAS. The Costa Norte Ingleses is about 800 meters (½ a mile) down this road.
